We are More than Enough

As we give our self permission to grieve the losses and pain in our life, the wounds, which formerly affected us negatively, will no longer be an issue.

We may remember the incident, but the emotion previously associated with that memory is healed. Our behavior, once dictated to by these destructive emotions, is liberated.

Slowly, we learn to trust God with all three of our ego states – Inner Parent, Adult and Child. Each entity comes to trust in Christ for redemption and regeneration.

We stop abusing our Inner Child and abandoning our self and our legitimate needs. We insist on being part of any decision, which affects our life.

We release the codependent need to get along in order to be loved and accepted by anyone other than God. Following God’s example, we learn to love our self and others with unconditional Agape love.

We realize that we are more than good enough, because Christ abides in us. Our identity comes from our relationship with God.

We start to understand our self and why we act the way we do. Therefore, we no longer allow the fears, wounds and insecurities of our Inner Child to rule our life.

We no longer rely on defense mechanisms, such as anger or withdrawing to protect us from fearful circumstances. We learn to express our needs and fears in calm, rational tones and words.

We validate the needs and legitimacy of all three ego states and their value to our thriving existence. We appreciate our own accomplishments and congratulate our victories; we have patience with our short-comings and seek God for a resolution for these issues; we validate our needs and meet them or wait on the Lord to meet them; we affirm our feelings and needs as important and worthy of our daily attention and nurturing.

Prayer:
Father God, help us to grow in our ability to incorporate spiritual, Biblical truths into our mindset, so that we can function with an integrated Inner Parent, Adult and Child, which is complete in You (Colossians 2:10).

Remind us to utilize our spiritual connection by living with emotional honesty, discerning the needs of our Inner Child throughout the day and meeting those needs. Cause us to walk in Your Spirit so that we follow Your will for every moment of our day. We give You all the praise, honor and glory for our union with Christ in us.

Thought for the Day:
God reveals to us the importance of functioning with a spiritually integrated Inner Parent, Adult and Child, and then heals the emotional wounds of our past by drawing these three ego states into union with Him.
